A driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries following a single-vehicle collision on the Trans-Canada Highway northbound near the Helmcken Road exit on the morning of July 20.
West Shore RCMP responded to the crash around 10 a.m. after a Mazda Protege left the roadway and entered a patch of bramble bushes.
View Royal Fire Rescue crews cut away the vegetation to allow the driver and passenger to safely exit the vehicle.
Police said the driver experienced a medical issue that contributed to the collision. No charges were laid.
The driver was transported to hospital with minimal injuries.
The incident temporarily reduced traffic in the area to one lane while emergency crews attended the scene.
