What's on this Canada Day 2026 in Niagara

Events are taking place in towns and cities across the region on July 1

People across Niagara will show their patriotic pride on Wednesday, as Canada Day celebrations take place across the region's cities and towns on July 1.

Here's some of what's going on to celebrate Canada's 159th birthday.

At Montebello Park at 64 Ontario St., there will be a day of music, food and celebration from noon to 10 p.m. Children's entertainment will feature Rockin' Time with Mr. Rob and Friends (12:15 p.m.), and The Mountain Man, Spencer Burton (1:15 p.m.).

Main entertainment will feature the Strictly Hip (2:15 p.m.), Lincoln and Welland Foundation Band (4 p.m. after remarks), Thuds (5:45 p.m.), Julianna Riolino (5:45 p.m.), Sully Burrows (7 p.m.), and The Trews (8:15 p.m.)

Free shuttle buses will run in a loop from the Seymour-Hannah Sports and Entertainment Centre starting at noon. Parking in downtown city lots and garages is also free.

The fireworks show will take place at 10 p.m. at Rennie Park at 60 Lakeport Rd.

From noon to 8 p.m. at Firemen's Park at the corner of Mountain Road and Dorchester Road, there will be music, interactive kids shows, food trucks, artisans and vendors and a giant Canada Day cake.

Main stage entertainment will be Niagara Zest for Zumba (12:10 p.m.), Starla Silvestri (12:45 p.m.), Niagara Falls Youth Performance Feature: Daniel Akanji Trio (1:45 p.m.), Niagara Falls Youth Performance Feature: Juliette Sullivan (2:15 p.m.), Irish Millie (2:45 p.m.), Niagara African Caribbean Cultural Organization (3:45 p.m.), Mage (4:30 p.m.), Andy Colonico (5:30 p.m.), Mystic Highway, a Creedence Clearwater Revival tribute (6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.).

The kids zone stage runs from noon to 6 p.m.

There is limited parking for $10. There will also be a free shuttle service with stops at the Niagara Falls Transit Downtown Hub, the Gale Centre, Main and Ferry, Canadian Drive at Niagara Square, and the MacBain Community Centre.

Niagara Parks will light up the falls red and white at the top of every hour for 15 minutes starting at 8:30 p.m.

It will also host an extended fireworks display at 10 p.m., synchronized to a Canadian-themed music broadcast on Kiss 98.5 FM.

At Merritt Park at 151 King St. from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., there will be live music and entertainment, food trucks, vendors, and interactive games. There will be an evening concert featuring Vinyl Flux, Revolver & Friends and Charissa at the park amphitheatre at 6 p.m.

Event here runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Fort George Historic Site, 51 Queen's Parade, with the buildings closing at 5 p.m.

Evening entertainment starts at 6:30 p.m. and will include the Fort George Infantry, Fife and Drum Corps, the Howling Horns, and fireworks at 10 p.m.

Matt Goch Real Estate Group and Tranquility through Therapy will host an event from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Ferndale Park at 865 Ferndale Ave., with inflatables, food trucks, local vendors, kids’ activities throughout the day plus karaoke and live entertainment.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at H.H. Knoll Lakeview Park at 160 Sugarloaf St., the event here will feature a craft vendor fair, giant penny sale, live entertainment, food vendors, children's activities, train rides, birds of prey, alpacas, pony ride and more.

A fireworks display will take place along the canal at about 10 p.m. subject to Seaway traffic.

At 3 p.m., the Grand Parade will travel down Haist Street from A.K. Wigg School to Harold Black Park.

From 3:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., there will be entertainment with the Jimmy Marando Swing Band, Public House, Max Life Crisis, The Chimps, then fireworks at 10 p.m.

From 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Battle of Beaverdams Park on Sullivan Drive, this event will include a kids zone, magicians, popular characters, face painting, bouncy castles, foam parties, artisans, community booths, food vendors, and an extended licensed patio throughout the park.

There will be a fireworks display at 10 p.m.

From 1:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Charles Daley Park at 1969 North Service Rd., the local event will include entertainment by the Lincoln Concert Band, Mad Science, Beamsville Music Studio, Back in the Daze, Sandy Vine and the Midnights, and fireworks at 10 p.m.

What's on for Canada Day 2026 in Hamilton, Burlington and Brantford

From 3 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. at the Leisureplex Township Park at 2543 South Grimsby Rd., there will be vendors, games, trackless train rides from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., and acts on the main stage from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., when the fireworks display will proceed.

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Grimsby Museum at 6 Murray St., this celebration will include music, crafts, activities and a barbecue.
