Where to watch FIFA World Cup games in Metro Vancouver

Whether it’s a plaza, patio, pub or mountaintop, fans have many options

Ticket prices have been a talking point ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026, with many people expressing concern over their cost, scarcity, or both.

But you don't need tickets to B.C. Place to experience the tournament's atmosphere.

Across Metro Vancouver, cities, bars, restaurants, and community groups will host viewing parties to watch the games without paying stadium prices.

Here are some places to check out during the tournament.

FIFA Fan Festival at Hastings Park

The largest official option is the FIFA Fan Festival within the PNE Grounds at Hastings Park in Vancouver.

Organizers say the festival will run for 28 days and show more than 70 live World Cup matches on screens across the site. It will also feature live music, food, entertainment, and fan activities.

General admission is free. Paid premium options are also available, including reserved seating in the amphitheatre area.

Vancouver's Granville Island will set up a free outdoor viewing zone, with outdoor seating for 1,000 people and a 24-foot giant screen that will show 94 matches.

The site will also feature local food trucks, performances, and family play zones.

According to Lisa Ono, the manager of public affairs and programming for Granville Island, the site is expected to be busier than usual, with the Indian Summer Festival and Vancouver International Jazz Festival also taking place during the same period.

“I would encourage people, if at all possible, if they can leave their vehicle at home” said Ono. “We have a free bike valet so people can park their bikes for free in a secure zone that is staffed all of the time.”

The event runs from June 11 to July 19.

Canada Soccer House in North Vancouver

The Shipyards in North Vancouver will host the Uber Eats Canada Soccer House, a free event to experience all the World Cup action throughout the tournament.

Canada Soccer says the site opens June 11 at 125 Victory Ship Way and will run on select days through July 7. On other days, The Shipyards will host soccer-related programming and watch parties through to the final on July 19.

Visitors can expect live match broadcasts, athlete meet-and-greets, live music, food trucks, and interactive fan activations.

Surrey is planning three official Soccer Fan Zones during the tournament.

The city lists the locations as Surrey Civic Plaza, Cloverdale Agriplex and South Surrey Athletic Park, with free admission.

“Surrey is known for its signature events such as Canada Day and the Fusion Festival, and we're going to carry on that type of theme with live entertainment, lots of interactive games and activities with many of them having a soccer theme,” said Dan Nielsen, project lead for the City of Surrey's soccer fan zones.

Nielsen says all three locations will include food trucks, giveaway contests, and a beer garden.

Delta is running free Soccer Fan Zones from June 11 to July 19 at the Chisholm Street Wharf in Ladner Village and at the North Delta Recreation Centre.

According to the city, the North Delta Recreation Centre will offer daily live match screenings with complementary programming on select days during the week, including Zumba classes and drop-in soccer.

Meanwhile, the Ladner Village Pop-Up Park will become a celebration site with live match screenings, music, food vendors, and interactive activities throughout the tournament.

Latincouver will host Tribuna Latina Vancouver 2026, a series of live match screenings with a Latin-inspired atmosphere at its Latin Plaza Hub in Gastown.

Organizers say the event is for anyone who wants to enjoy the game — including Latin community members, locals, and newcomers to Vancouver.

The venue is set up for guests to experience the games with friends while enjoying traditional drinks and snacks. General admission is by donation that includes the match screening and one beverage.

Many local bars and restaurants plan to show matches. Here are just a few:

Fans should check details before showing up at a location, as some venues may require reservations, have limited capacity, or charge for high-demand games.

The London Pub will charge cover for some major matches, including England and Canada games, while offering free entry for others.

“We’re very, very excited,” said Steve Jennings, owner and operator of The London Pub. “We've ramped up some staff. We brought in a lot of new products, like Michelob Ultra … That beer is the beer of the FIFA World Cup. So, that beer will be pouring on tap.”

“We're really excited just to see the amount of people coming down and around the stadium during the games.”

Grouse Mountain Natural Watch Party

Destination Canada and Grouse Mountain will host a Natural Watch Party for Panama versus England on June 27.

According to organizers, fans can ride the gondola up Grouse Mountain and watch that game from more than 1,000 metres above the city.

Tickets for the event are currently sold out, but organizers say more are expected to be released ahead of the game.

Expect downtown Vancouver to look different during the tournament.

Granville Street between Georgia and Davie streets will close to vehicle traffic for the Granville Street Pedestrian Zone. The city says setup begins June 8, the pedestrian zone runs during the tournament period, and the street is expected to fully reopen after removal work on July 26. During this period, fans can watch matches on extended patios, enjoy live music, food vendors, and street-wide celebrations.

In North Vancouver, Capilano Suspension Bridge Park will host Canyon Kick-Off from June 6 to July 19. The park describes it as a soccer-themed experience with photo installations, games and family activities included with regular park admission or an annual pass.
