While hacking attacks using artificial intelligence (AI) are spreading beyond the financial sector and across society, the return on exchange-traded funds (ETF) related to cybersecurity is increasing.

According to the Korea Exchange on the 13th, the product with the highest monthly rate of return among domestic listed ETFs is "TIGER Global AI Cybersecurity," with a monthly rate of 22.61%.

Amid the recent decline in SK Hynix's stock price, the second-largest monthly profit margin was "SOL SK Hynix Futures Single Stock Bus 2X" (22.05%). HANARO Semiconductor Core Process Leadership (20.99 percent), SOL Semiconductor Semiconductor Semiconductor Process in fourth place (18.37 percent), and SOL Semiconductor Post Process in fifth place (18.35 percent). With the second to fifth place in ETF returns per month all related to semiconductors, the return on cybersecurity-related stocks ranked first.

This product follows the "Indxx Cybersecurity" index, which consists of 40 market capitalization companies among global companies with more than 50% of cybersecurity-related sales. It is investing in AI security companies around the world. According to Coscom ETF Check, Octa, a identity security company, has the highest proportion (10.14%) as a component as of the day, followed by CrowdStrike (7.94%) and Palo Alto Networks (7.51%).

The rising returns on AI security-related ETF products are attributed to the impact of hacking attacks using AI throughout society. Recently, hacking attacks using AI at major commercial banks such as Shinhan, KB Kookmin, Hana, and BNK Busan Bank have confirmed the damage of user information leakage. Beyond commercial banks, hacking attacks have been confirmed to be increasing in state-run banks such as the Export-Import Bank, the Korea Development Bank, and the Industrial Bank of Korea, raising awareness of hacking attacks.
