Volker Rath is Cloudflare’s field CISO focusing on the Asia Pacific region. He brings more than two decades of experience advising global organizations on security strategy, risk management and operational resilience. Prior to joining Cloudflare, he spent five years at AWS as a principal for security, risk and compliance, and has held senior roles at PwC, BT, Hewlett Packard and Symantec.

Volker is recognized for developing pragmatic, business-aligned security strategies across zero trust, cloud security and cyber resilience. He works closely with executives, security, IT risk and compliance teams to help organizations build, deploy and operate sensitive and regulated workloads securely at scale in the cloud.

Volker is an active voice in the industry, regularly contributing to executive forums, CIO communities and regional security events. He was also named a finalist for CISO of the Year at the 2026 Australian Cyber Awards.
