Wildfire threatens remote Northwest Territories village, prompts evacuation
It was a scary night for some residents in northern areas as out-of-control wildfires came dangerously close, after burning just seven kilometres west of Fort Simpson, Alta. The fire grew to an estimated whopping 10,000 hectares before a well-timed shift in the wind may have saved the community. However, as Heather Yourex-West reports, that lucky break may not last long.
