Woman dead, man arrested in Toronto apartment shooting: police
TORONTO — Toronto police say a woman is dead after a shooting at a downtown apartment.
Police say a man has been arrested.
They did not immediately announce what charges he faces or how he may have known the victim.
Police say officers were called around 9:30 a.m. Saturday to reports of a shooting inside an apartment unit near Jarvis Street and Dundas Street.
They say a woman who had been shot was rushed to hospital where she died.
The homicide unit is investigating.
