Today’s only game is Canada vs. South Africa, noon start for the first playoff battle of the men’s soccer tournament.
Both teams are in the expanded Round of 32, or knockout round, for the first time.
The winner advances, the loser goes home.
With the tournament’s expansion to 48 teams for 2026, 32 teams advanced from the group stage — the top two from each of the 12 groups, along with the eight best third-place finishers.

Germany vs. Paraguay in Boston, 1:30 p.m.
Netherlands vs. Morocco in Monterrey, 6 p.m.
Ivory Coast vs. Norway in Dallas, 10 a.m.
France vs. Sweden in New York, 2 p.m.
Mexico vs. Ecuador in Mexico City, 6 p.m.
England vs. Congo in Atlanta, 9 a.m.
Belgium vs. Senegal in Seattle, 1 p.m.
U.S. vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina in San Francisco, 5 p.m.
Spain vs. Austria in Los Angeles, noon
Portugal vs. Croatia in Toronto, 4 p.m.
Switzerland vs. Algeria in Vancouver, 8 p.m.
