Over 4,7000 rowers from around the world gathered to row on Lake Bled for the 2026 World Rowing Masters Regatta. Participants raced over 20,000 seats from singles to eights over the record-setting event’s five days.
“This event shows what makes nasters rowing so special,” said Jernej Slivnik, executive director of the regatta. “People travel from every corner of the world to race hard, reconnect with lifelong friends, and celebrate our shared passion for rowing.”
Over 7,000 boats entered from 889 clubs, with events like men’s F singles attracting 165 entries and the women’s E doubles drawing 144.
Great Britain’s Upper Thames Rowing Club won the overall points trophy with 857 points, ahead of Rolodex club Chinook Performance Racing’s 780 points. Upper Thames also won the men’s point trophy with 471. Endeavor Racing Alliance was the top women’s point scorer with 887. (The overall trophy requires clubs to score points in both men’s and women’s racing.)
“To see thousands of athletes from their twenties into their nineties coming together in Bled demonstrates the strength of our rowing community,” said World Rowing Masters Commission Chair Ronald Chen. “Masters rowers are the living expression of rowing as a sport for life.”
