Young Indigenous karate athlete to represent Canada on international stage
Lily Simard, a member of the Gwitch’in First Nation in the Yukon, practices a karate style known as kata with her two teammates. The three of them will be representing Canada in Costa Rica later this month at the Junior Pan American Championships.
