Addressing a musical event named 'Malhar 2026' here dedicated to connecting the youth with the spirit of classical music and monsoon ragas, he said the festival emphasises passing traditional Indian performing arts to younger generations, reinforcing the timeless value of classical music.
The event featured performances across classical vocalists, percussionists and instrumentalists.
He highlighted the imperative to safeguard India's intangible cultural heritage, traditional music education and artistic traditions.
He also presented the Antar Hriday Cultural Diplomacy Award to Saurav Sharma (Nepal). He also felicitated eminent artists Pandit Ulhas Kashalkar and Pandit Rajendra Gangani for their outstanding contributions to Indian culture and arts. (PTI)
