Officers found the body of 32-year-old Marcus Charles in a burning vehicle on Sept. 21 in the area of Reesor Road and Steeles Avenue E.

In a news release issued Monday, police said they arrested and charged a 25-year-old man and 25-year-old woman, both from Toronto, in connection with Charles' death.

The man was charged with first-degree murder and the woman was charged with accessory after the fact to murder, according to the news release.

One other suspect from Toronto, 25-year-old Devondre Hall, remains outstanding on a Canada-wide warrant for first-degree murder, police said.

Less than two hours after officers found Charles, police located another burning vehicle in a parking lot near the area of Royal York Road and Edenbridge Drive in Etobicoke. A body was found inside the second vehicle, and police identified the second victim as 30-year-old Mohamud Kheyre.

Police previously said Charles and Kheyre were targeted and killed before the vehicles were burned, and that they have not confirmed a connection between their deaths.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact investigators.
