Are these whale sightings rare for Nova Scotia?
Some fascinating sea life has been showing up along the Cape Breton coastline in recent weeks. An orca was spotted at the Canso Causeway and at least one beluga whale was seen swimming near St. Peter's Marina. Elizabeth Zwamborn, a marine mammal scientist, says our waters are shared by many different whale species, but some sightings are more rare than others.
