Canadian job market declines, hot streak ends in August
Despite most economists expecting a small gain, Canada's job market broke its recent hot streak with a loss of 42,000 jobs in August. By contrast, the U.S. saw a surprising jump in jobs, following a string of losses. The White House was quick to credit tariffs as a reason why.
