Canadians plan to trim holiday spending by 11%: PwC report
PwC Canada says in a new report that it predicts Canadians plan to spend less this holiday season than last year.
The firm’s holiday outlook report says Canadians plan to spend an average of $1,487 this festive season, down 11 per cent from last year.
Additionally, the survey found that 54 per cent of respondents are willing to pay more for Canadian-made products over imported options, up from 49 per cent in 2025.
The firm adds that the findings may under-represent current Canadian sentiment as the survey took place before the recent escalation in the Canada-U.S. trade dispute.
