China imposes 73.5% tariff on Canadian pea starch
China has imposed a 73.5 per cent tariff on Canadian pea starch after concluding an anti-dumping investigation. According to China's Ministry of Commerce, the product was being sold below market value and caused material injury to domestic producers. The move marks a further escalation in trade tensions between Canada and China, following anti-dumping duties on Canadian canola introduced last year.
