CJP warns of nationwide protest if Dharmendra Pradhan doesn't resign, BJP's Nitin Nabin slams 'negative politics'

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), which organised its first protest at the Jantar Mantar on Saturday, warned that it will organise nationwide agitation if Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan does not resign in seven days.

"We are giving the government seven days. Either Dharmendra Pradhan should resign respectfully, or Prime Minister Narendra Modi should sack him. If his resignation does not come within seven days, this movement will spread throughout the country," said CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka.

Addressing media, Ranka and Saurav Das, another CJP spokesperson, on Saturday said the protest drew thousands from several states and marks the beginning of broader youth movement focusing on education and governance issues. What began as an online campaign in May has garnered more than 22 million followers on Instagram.

"June 6, 2026, will be written in history because today the politics of this country has completely changed," Ranka said. "The time has come to reset our education system, and we have started that reset today. "Until this education minister is there, we will not be able to improve the education system of this country."

Meanwhile, BJP national president Nitin Nabin on Saturday alleged that some forces were trying to push India's youths towards "negative politics".

"Some people sitting abroad assume they can give directions to the youths of India," Nabin said, referring to CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke. "Today's youths want to work towards nation-building and secure their future. But some forces are trying to make the country's youths anti-establishment. Those who want to push the youths of this country towards negative politics, I warn them that the youths of India will choose positive politics."
