We're almost done with July, which means that summer is starting to wind down. Kind of, but not really.

In any event, there's still plenty of live music to see in the Wilmington area during the month of August, concerts inside and out and shows big and small.

Keep in mind that this is a far-from-comprehensive list of every notable Wilmington concert in August. In fact, it barely scratches the surface.

Aug. 1 at CFCC Wilson Center: Grammy-winning Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee played with Crosby, Stills and Nash and The Hollies.

Aug. 1 at Bowstring Burgers & Brewyard: One-day music festival features a half-dozen jam and jam-adjacent bands including Asheville's Dr. Bacon and Wilmington blues rockers The Queen's Giant. Proceeds benefit Play it Forward Wilmington and Eden Village.

Aug. 2 at Waterline Brewing: Day-long music festival features a half-dozen bands — including moody folk-rockers Goldielux, sweat-pop act Kicking Bird and eco-punks Tercel — to benefit Cape Fear River Watch.

Aug. 2-8 in Wilmington: Annual classical music festival brings world-class players to Wilmington for concerts at multiple venues.

Aug. 7 at Greenfield Lake Amphitheater: Roots rock band led by Jakob Dylan (son of Bob) is best known for the 2009 hit "One Headlight."

Aug. 7 at CFCC Wilson Center: Legendary country band has been in the music biz for over 50 years.

Aug. 8 at Greenfield Lake Amphitheater: Veteran funk/jam band will play the music of Sly Stone for this show.

Aug. 8 at Bowstring Burgers & Brewyard: Veteran North Carolina string band blends bluegrass, folk, country, rock and more.

Aug. 8 at Reggie's 42nd Street Tavern: Longtime comedy-metal band comes to town for what it calls a "punk rock puppet show."

Aug. 12 at the Bellamy Mansion Museum: Wilmington jazz combo (keyboardist Kevin Kolb, flutist/saxophonist Teddy Burgh, percussionist Troy Pierce and bassist Ryan Woodall) paly the Jazz at the Mansion concert series.

Aug. 13 at Bowstring Burgers & Brewyard: Soul-pop quintet hails from Atlanta.

Aug. 13-14 at CFCC Wilson Center: Pink Floyd tribute act returns to town with a musical and visual extravaganza. After-party Aug. 14 at Yacht Club/Bourgie Nights with Right On Early.

Aug. 14 at Bowstring Burgers & Brewyard: Charleston, S.C., band plays what it terms "nostalgic indie folk rock."

Aug. 15 at Bowstring Burgers & Brewyard: Musician and actor played Deacon Claybourne on ABC/CMT series "Nashville" and plays Ward Cameron on Netflix hit "Outer Banks."

Aug. 15 at CFCC Wilson Center: Country music icon has been performing since she was a kid.

Aug. 16 at Greenfield Lake Amphitheater: Americana songwriter is touring for the 25th anniversary of his 2001 album "Gravitational Forces."

Aug. 19 at Bowstring Burgers & Brewyard: Grammy-nominated reggae singer has been playing and touring for over 20 years.

Aug. 20 at Live Oak Bank Pavilion: San Diego band blends reggae with rock, metal, blues, funk, hip-hop and more.

Aug. 22 at Live Oak Bank Pavilion: Nashville country singer has released a trio albums since 2018, most recently 2025's "Learn the Hard Way."

Aug. 22 at Greenfield Lake Amphitheater: Jam band whose sound is heavy on rock and blues hails from Alabama.

Aug. 20 at Kenan Auditorium: Led Zeppelin tribute band.

Aug. 21 at Bowstring Burgers & Brewyard: Indie-folk band hails from Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Aug. 21 at Live at Ted's: Acclaimed finger-style guitarist and songwriter plays this beloved Wilmington listening room.

Aug. 29 at Greenfield Lake Amphitheater: Fleetwood Mac tribute band.
