Cyclist dies in collision in northeast Calgary
A cyclist died on Saturday after a vehicle struck the bike in the northeast community of Tuxedo Park , according to Calgary police.
The vehicle then rammed a parked car before stopping two blocks away.
The collision occurred on South Centre Street, between 19th Avenue and 21st Avenue N.E.
The cyclist was declared dead at scene. Police say the driver of the offending vehicle is being provided medical treatment at this time.
Several businesses have been affected. Police have a large strip of the road cordoned off.
CPS Traffic unit is on scene, and the investigation is ongoing
