G Elias partners with Lagos State Employment Trust Fund for a masterclass on startups & their legal environment
Lagos, Nigeria — 8 September, 2026 — G Elias, a leading full-service commercial law firm, today announced its partnership with the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) to host a Masterclass, themed “Startups & Their Legal Environment.” The event will hold on 11 September 2026 at the G Elias Hub, Lagos.
The Masterclass is designed to equip founders, early-stage businesses, and aspiring entrepreneurs with practical legal knowledge essential to building and scaling a startup in Nigeria’s evolving regulatory landscape. Topics are expected to cover business registration and structuring, intellectual property, contracts, employment law, regulatory compliance, and funding-related legal considerations.
The Legal Masterclass is part of the Ideahub programme of LSETF’s Lagos Innovates. The Ideahub is an intensive 8 – 12-week incubation programme designed to support early-stage, tech-enabled startups. It equips founders with essential entrepreneurial skills, mentorship, networking opportunities, and expert-led masterclasses to help them develop a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and build a sustainable business.
TechCabal is supporting the initiative as a media partner, helping to amplify the event’s reach and ensure its insights connect with a wider community of entrepreneurs and innovators across Lagos and beyond.
We are proud to once again partner with LSETF on this important initiative. As Lagos continues to nurture a thriving startup ecosystem, it is critical that founders have direct access to the legal guidance that helps them build resilient, compliant, and investable businesses. This masterclass reflects our continued commitment to supporting the next generation of Nigerian entrepreneurs. — Similoluwa Oyelude, Partner, G Elias.
This masterclass series speaks directly to the legal blind spots we often see founders navigate on their own. Our goal is to demystify these issues early, so entrepreneurs can focus on building rather than firefighting legal risk down the line. — Ebimobowei Jikenghan, Senior Associate, G Elias.
The partnership between G Elias and LSETF builds on previous editions of the Ideahub programme, which has brought together legal practitioners, business professionals, seasoned founders, policy makers and startup founders to address the practical challenges of building businesses in Nigeria.
