Indian startups raised over $242 million from August 10 to August 15, 2026; Yulu tops the list
Between August 10 to August 15, 2026, as many as 13 Indian startups from diverse sectors raised over $242 million in funding from investors. That is 4% down week-on-week from $252 million recorded in the previous week, when River Mobility raised $120 million.
Bengaluru-based electric mobility startup Yulu topped this week's chart with a $93 million round from GEF Capital Partners, accounting for nearly 38% of the week's total capital.
Four rounds crossed $20 million this week, and Yulu, Sigma Advanced Systems, Blacksmith and Centricity accounted for most of the week's capital between them. Sigma Advanced Systems raised $48.03 million for its defence and aerospace manufacturing business, while Blacksmith closed a $45 million round to grow its software testing platform.
The sectors that got funded this week include Semiconductors, Healthtech, Edtech, EV, Foodtech, Fintech, Homecare, Devtools, Defencetech, Logistics.
Weekly funding rose sharply from $79.79 million in late July to $252.03 million in the first week of August, before easing slightly to $242.55 million this week.

City-wise split of this week's disclosed capital
The top five startups this week raised about $225.71 million between them, roughly 93% of the week's total.
Yulu raised $93 million (about Rs 888.1 crore) in Series C funding, comprising $63 million in equity led by GEF Capital Partners and $30 million in debt.
The Bengaluru-based startup runs shared electric two-wheelers for short-distance travel and deliveries, and plans to use the money to quadruple its fleet to 200,000 vehicles over two years while preparing for a stock market listing.
Sigma Advanced Systems raised Rs 460 crore ($48.03 million) through a preferential allotment led by Spark Capital, which placed most of the issue with family offices and ultra-high-net-worth individuals through its Midas Transactions platform.
The Hyderabad-based defence and aerospace manufacturer plans to use up to 75% of the proceeds for acquisitions and strategic investments as it expands its UK operations and international order book.
Blacksmith raised $45 million (Rs 429.8 crore) in a Series B round led by Peak XV Partners, with Y Combinator and GV also participating, valuing the startup at $550 million.
The San Francisco-based company runs a cloud platform for testing and validating software code, and will use the funds to expand its computing capacity roughly tenfold as AI coding tools increase the volume of code that needs checking.
Centricity raised Rs 280 crore ($29.24 million) in a Series A round led by SMBC Asia Rising Fund, with Lightspeed India Partners, Burman Family Office and other existing investors also taking part.
The Gurugram-based wealth management startup will use the money to expand its private wealth and NRI businesses and add more than 50 private bankers across India.
Bakingo raised Rs 99.7 crore ($10.44 million) in a Series B round led by Faering Capital Growth Fund III.
The Gurugram-based startup operates in the foodtech sector, though further details on its plans were not available.
Discovered Materials raised $9 million (about Rs 86 crore) in a seed round led by Lightspeed, with Y Combinator, Peak XV Partners and several angel investors also participating. The San Francisco-based startup uses AI agents to develop new materials for semiconductor chips, focusing on materials that can help manage heat in AI chips.
Scrubsy raised Rs 27 crore ($2.82 million) from V3 Ventures. The Gurugram-based home-cleaning startup makes kitchen, bathroom and footwear-care products, and will use the funding to expand its in-house manufacturing.
Ayati Devices raised Rs 15 crore ($1.57 million) in a pre-Series A round led by Inflexor Ventures. The Bengaluru-based medtech startup makes portable diagnostic tools for diabetic foot and vascular conditions, and will use the funds to expand manufacturing and commercialisation in India and overseas.
Wippi raised $1.2 million (approx. Rs 11.5 crore) in a seed round led by 12 Flags, with Warmup Ventures, Ventana Ventures and Ruvento Ventures also participating. The Bengaluru-based startup builds screen-free, voice AI storytelling products for children and will use the funding to expand its engineering team and manufacturing.
Lane raised Rs 8.5 crore in a round led by Kae Capital, with DeVC, Antler India and Panthera Peak also taking part. The Bengaluru-based startup combines driving lessons with RTO support and is developing a sensor-based system to track driving behaviour.
Vecton AI raised Rs 6 crore in a pre-seed round led by Zeropearl VC. The Bengaluru-based startup builds AI systems for banks and financial institutions and places engineers directly with client teams during implementation.
FreightFox raised Rs 5 crore in a round led by HighLeaf, with existing investor Aeravti Ventures also participating. The Pune-based startup runs a transportation management platform used by companies including Coca-Cola, PepsiCo and Hero MotoCorp.
Quarkitech raised Rs 2 crore in a pre-seed round from Artha Access and Finvolve. The Chennai-based startup develops data-compression algorithms for defence and space sensors, aimed at reducing the volume of data collected by radar, LiDAR and imaging systems.
GalaxEye acquired StarOps this week. Financial terms of the deal were not available at the time of publication.
Redcliffe Labs acquired Megavision Diagnostics Center this week. Financial terms of the deal were not available at the time of publication.
Twelve Stone LLP acquired a 17.39% stake in FreshBus this week. Further details of the transaction were not available at the time of publication.
