Invitation to media - The Honourable Evan Solomon to announce Government of Canada support for Quebec organizations leveraging artificial intelligence

TROIS-RIVIÈRES, QC, July 13, 2026 /CNW/ - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

In a climate of accelerated digital transformation and increase competition, artificial intelligence constitutes a key lever to boost innovation, productivity and growth among Canadian businesses.

With this in mind, the Honourable Evan Solomon, Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation and Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario, will announce, on behalf of the Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for CED, funding from CED for over 60 Quebec organizations implementing artificial intelligence-related projects.

For this announcement in Trois-Rivières, Minister Solomon will be accompanied by Carlos Leitão, Member of Parliament for Marc-Aurèle-Fortin and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Industry, and Caroline Desrochers, Member of Parliament for Trois-Rivières and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Housing and Infrastructure.
