Dan Ives, a former Wedbush technology analyst, on Wednesday named Nvidia NVDA, Microsoft MSFT, Palantir Technologies PLTR, Apple AAPL, and CrowdStrike CRWD as his top five technology picks into 2027.
"Initiating tech coverage tonite. In our view, investors underestimating the scale and scope of this $4 trillion dollar spending wave next few years," said Ives in a social media post.
He also identified Tesla TSLA as his preferred disruptive technology play.
Shares of Nvidia have gained about 27% so far this year, while Microsoft and Apple are up about 12% and 23%, respectively. Palantir has risen about 14%, while CrowdStrike has surged nearly 146%. Tesla shares have fallen about 14% year to date.
Goldman Sachs has estimated that global spending on AI-related infrastructure could reach $4T by 2030, given the scale of investment expected to flow into data centers, chips, and related technology.DisclaimerContent provided by Seeking Alpha is intended for information purposes only, and that Seeking Alpha does not offer any personalist investment advice and is not a licensed securities dealer, broker, US investment adviser or investment bank.
