Meeting with AI and Robotics Startup Leaders on June 8Discussion Expected on AI Infrastructure and Physical AI

Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, who is visiting Korea this week, will meet with domestic artificial intelligence (AI) startup industry leaders, including Kim Sung-hoon, CEO of Upstage, during his stay.

According to the IT industry on June 2, CEO Huang will hold a closed-door meeting with domestic robotics and AI startups, including Upstage, at the Shilla Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul, on June 8. Upstage, which passed the first stage assessment for the Ministry of Science and ICT's independent AI foundation project, will also attend the meeting.

On this day, CEO Huang is expected to discuss AI infrastructure collaboration with domestic startup representatives. In particular, this marks the first time that CEO Huang is meeting with robotics startups in Korea.

An industry official said, "CEO Huang is expected to meet with major domestic AI startups on the 8th," adding, "Rather than discussing specific business opportunities, the focus will be on exploring avenues for collaboration."

CEO Huang is scheduled to arrive in Korea on the evening of June 4, after completing his itinerary at key events such as NVIDIA's annual AI conference, 'GTC Taipei,' held in Taiwan this week. On the evening of June 5, he is expected to meet with SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo, and Naver Chairman Lee Hae-jin in Seongsu-dong. The likely venue for the meeting is a samgyeopsal (grilled pork belly) restaurant in Seongsu-dong.

The possibility of visiting Naver's 1784 headquarters building in Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do is also currently being coordinated with Naver. The visit is likely to take place on June 8. However, both Naver and NVIDIA have stated that the schedule has not yet been confirmed.

In addition, CEO Huang is slated to throw the first pitch at a Doosan Bears professional baseball home game held at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul and will also appear on the tvN talk show 'You Quiz on the Block' (You Quiz).
