Jordan to Host Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare Conference in October
Amman, July 26 (Petra) – The Jordanian Nursing Council signed a memorandum of understanding with software company ZeeDimension to organize an international conference on artificial intelligence (AI) in medicine, nursing, and digital health, scheduled for October 25–26, with local and international participation.
Council Secretary-General Hani Nawafleh said during the signing that the partnership aims to expand the use of artificial intelligence in health sciences. He said the initiative would support comprehensive digital transformation and improve the quality of medical and nursing services in the Kingdom.
Nawafleh said the conference reflects Jordan’s role as a regional hub for healthcare innovation and provides a global platform for physicians, nurses, and decision-makers to exchange knowledge and discuss the latest AI developments, including early diagnosis, improved clinical decision-making, and sustainable healthcare systems.
He noted that the agreement includes accredited continuing professional development (CPD) programs and specialized workshops to strengthen healthcare professionals’ skills in digital transformation, smart hospital development, data analytics, health education, clinical simulation, and digital risk management.
Nawafleh invited healthcare, academic, and technology professionals to participate in the international event, which will feature specialized scientific sessions, innovation presentations, and international experiences aimed at helping shape the future of healthcare in Jordan and the region.
ZeeDimension Executive Director Ezzedine Hattab said the conference represents a significant step in Jordan’s healthcare digital transformation, adding that its primary objective is to move AI technologies from theory into practical application to improve patient outcomes and develop medical systems.
He said the event would focus on the responsible and safe use of technology by adopting explainable AI principles and keeping humans at the center of decision-making, ensuring that technology supports healthcare professionals rather than replaces them.
Hattab added that the conference seeks to equip healthcare professionals with tools that accelerate decision-making and reduce their workloads.
He said the conference would also strengthen networking between national institutions and international organizations and attract leading global expertise to translate its outcomes into long-term initiatives serving the healthcare sector and reinforcing Jordan’s position as a destination for health technology investment.
