LiveU Starlink for News and Sports
LiveU is now a Clarus Integrated Reseller, bringing Starlink’s broadband directly into LiveU’s cellular bonding ecosystem through a single plan for broadcast, sports and field production teams. LiveU Hybrid Data is the first integrated data plan that provides field teams access to cellular and Starlink broadband for the broadcast IP bonding market.
It’s a shift that reflects how Starlink is being used as a primary connectivity solution across live production: not as a fallback for extreme scenarios, but bonded alongside cellular to keep broadcast operations online in remote areas and through outages and disruptions.
With Hybrid Data, LiveU delivers and invoices for cellular data and Starlink in one managed service. Both connections sit side by side in the same workflow, so broadcasts can use cellular and Starlink together in the moment. LiveU serves as the single source for support.
LiveU Hybrid Data will be available for LiveU’s LU300S, LU800 and LU900Q field units across the United States and United Kingdom.
At the heart of LiveU’s resilient connectivity solutions are two core technologies. LiveU Reliable Transport (LRT) bonds cellular, Starlink and other IP connections into a single reliable stream, trusted by more than 5,000 customers worldwide for their day-to-day live transmission. LiveU IQ (LIQ) continuously analyses network conditions to dynamically select the best-performing cellular operators for any given location.
“LiveU has always been focused on keeping customers live from anywhere,” said Gideon Gilboa, Chief Business Officer, LiveU. “Crews get a connection that adapts to whatever the field throws at them, a congested stadium, a rural dead zone, a remote shoot with no cell tower in range. But beyond the connection itself, what our customers increasingly want is simplicity: all their connectivity solutions under a single pane of glass – cellular and Starlink broadband as a packaged service – managed and supported by LiveU, through one plan and one point of contact. That’s what Hybrid Data gives them.”
LiveU will showcase its full connectivity portfolio at IBC2026, stand 7.C24. To arrange a meeting or demonstration, visit https://get.liveu.tv/ibc-2026/.
