Man arrested after high street stabbing
A man has been arrested after a stabbing in a high street in East Sussex.
Sussex Police said a man was stabbed in Uckfield High Street just after 15:30 BST on Friday.
He was taken to hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries and was later discharged.
Police arrested a man, aged 41, on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
The incident is being treated as an isolated assault involving two people known to each other, and there was no threat to the wider community, police say.
