Man charged over attempted armed robbery
A man has been charged in connection with an alleged attempted armed robbery in an Aberdeenshire town.
Police Scotland said staff in a shop on Strait Path, Banff, were threatened with a "bladed weapon".
The incident is understood to have involved a knife.
The force confirmed a 34-year-old man had been arrested and was due to appear before Aberdeen Sheriff Court.
