Monaco Business 2026 Draws More Than 1,000 Visitors and 50 Exhibitors
More than 1,000 visitors attended the 14th edition of Monaco Business at the Méridien Beach Plaza on September 18. Fifty exhibitors and six conferences showcased the Principality’s business community, from long-established family firms to startups and digital services.
Questions such as "What sector do you work in?", "Do you offer this kind of format?", and "How are your data centers becoming more sustainable?" were put to the 50 exhibitors at the 14th edition of Monaco Business on September 18.
More than 1,000 visitors made their way through the aisles of the Méridien Beach Plaza, which hosted the event.
Minister of State Christophe Mirmand, speaking at the opening, described the show as "one of the Principality’s major business gatherings."
"Every morning, thousands of workers cross the border and contribute to Monaco’s prosperity," he said. "That daily reality makes us much more than neighbors. We are partners bound by a shared economic and human future."
With more than 70,000 jobs, Monaco provides employment for more people than it has residents, a distinctive feature that reflects the Principality’s economic appeal.
"Attractiveness is not something you can take for granted. It has to be nurtured," said Maurice Cohen, founder of Monaco Business.
He described the event as "a hub for exchange and collaboration, where expertise is shared, and we can reflect on the challenges ahead."
Helping Businesses Make Better Decisions
The six conferences held throughout the day also drew strong attendance.
Topics ranged from security and the challenges posed by artificial intelligence to Monaco’s environmental ambitions and international expansion.
The aim of the sessions was to help entrepreneurs make better-informed decisions.
Around 50 exhibitors took part, including Mathez Monaco, JBonet, Namebay SAM, Monaco Cyber Sécurité, Jutheau Husson, and startups from the MonacoTech accelerator.
GS Monaco, a Family Business Still Going Strong
Founded in 1980 by Alain Hache, who now runs the company alongside his son David, GS Monaco is the Principality’s last fully family-owned printing business.
From Monaco Monsieur and the Journal de Monaco to publications for the Red Cross and Monaco City Hall, Grand Prix posters, helicopter graphics, and velvet invitations with hot-foil stamping, the company handles a wide range of projects.
"We have a 1,000-square-meter production facility in Fontvieille," said Alain Hache, a regular at Monaco Business.
"That means we can meet a wide range of needs. Since 2019, we’ve also handled large-format printing for advertising and signage projects. We have an in-house design team that looks at every project individually to find a tailor-made solution."
GS Monaco now employs 30 people.
Women Entrepreneurs in the Spotlight
The Monaco Association of Women Entrepreneurs (Association des Femmes Chefs d’Entreprises de Monaco, AFCEM) has been taking part in Monaco Business for more than six years.
Its president, Erika Bernardi, a lawyer at the Monaco Bar, said the event was an opportunity "to build connections with companies, recruit new members, and showcase everything the association offers women in terms of training and opportunities."
AFCE Monaco currently has 70 members.
Founded in Monaco in 2019 by Antoine and Armand Bahri, Carlo is a mobile payment app that rewards users with 5% cashback in a virtual wallet, which can then be spent at participating local businesses.
A regular presence at Monaco Business since its 10th edition, Carlo now has more than 90,000 users in Monaco and over 100,000 in total, following its expansion to Aix-en-Provence in 2022 and Bordeaux in 2024.
A delegation from the Bordeaux-Gironde Chamber of Commerce and Industry also attended the show.
Bruno Tripon, an elected official responsible for commerce, highlighted Carlo’s success in Monaco.
"We can see how the app has become part of people’s everyday lives and how it helps support the local economy, particularly independent businesses, which make up the majority in Bordeaux."
Since its launch, Carlo has generated more than €16 million in cashback.
The company now employs 23 people, 12 of them based in Monaco.
It is also continuing to develop Core by Carlo, launched in 2025, which offers Carlo’s technology to other businesses as a white-label solution.
