Motorway partially closed after fuel spillage
Motorists have faced long delays during the morning rush hour after a fuel spillage on the M25 overnight.
National Highways said three out of four lanes on the anti-clockwise stretch between junctions 27 and 26 near Epping in Essex were closed.
It said on X that motorists were facing delays of more than an hour and there were about six miles of congestion in the area.
Emergency resurfacing work is taking place after a recovery truck broke down and "lost its diesel tank which has resulted in a large spillage".
