Saskatoon records 10th homicide of the year

The City of Saskatoon recorded its 10th homicide of the year on Saturday morning.

The Saskatoon Police Service said they responded to a report of an injured man in the area of 71st Street East and Lipsett Crescent, according to a news release.

When police and the fire department arrived, they attempted life-saving measures on the man.

The man succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene.

The major crime section is currently investigating and asks those with information to contact police, or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers.

The 10th homicide of the year marks a leap from 2025, In 2025, when Canada reported 8 homicides across the city.
