T.C.H. fully reopened after crash near Route 205 turnoff
Highway was impassable for majority of Saturday
The RCMP has reopened the Trans-Canada Highway after a crash closed a section near Route 205, south of Clarenville, for several hours on Saturday.
The crash happened near Hillview early Saturday morning, and halted traffic in both directions until the scene was cleared around 10:45 p.m. NT.
There are no detours through the area.
"We recognize the significant impact these closures had on travel and appreciate everyone who respected the road closure and allowed emergency responders and investigators to safely complete their work and ensure the highway was safe," the RCMP wrote in its final statement Saturday night.
First responders were kept busy through the day, and the RCMP asked the public not to call RCMP detachments, police non-emergency lines or 911 seeking more information.
