Thailand ranks 26th for AI traffic as ChatGPT dominates

Thailand recorded 130.56 million AI tool visits in June, ranking 26th worldwide, while ChatGPT retained a 40.9% share of global traffic.

Artificial intelligence is increasingly becoming part of everyday life worldwide, supporting tasks ranging from information searches, content creation and image design to translation and workplace productivity.

The latest data from AITools.xyz, which monitors traffic to thousands of AI tools, estimated that these platforms received approximately 13.01 billion visits worldwide in June 2026.

The figure was down by 5.72% from the previous month, representing a decline of about 789.86 million visits. Unique visits were estimated at approximately 3.25 billion.

Despite the monthly slowdown, traffic remained 14.7% higher than the 11.34 billion visits recorded in July 2025, indicating that long-term AI adoption continued to expand over the 11-month period.

About 74.44% of AI tool traffic, equivalent to approximately 9.69 billion visits, came from computers. Mobile devices accounted for the remaining 25.56%, or about 3.38 billion visits.

The figures suggest that a large proportion of AI use is connected with work, education, content production and tasks requiring larger screens, rather than being limited to entertainment or general searches on mobile phones.

Users spent an average of four minutes and 17 seconds on AI websites per visit, while the average bounce rate — the proportion of visitors leaving after viewing only one page — stood at 44.59%.

Male users accounted for 61.07% of traffic, or approximately 7.95 billion visits, while female users represented 38.93%, or around 5.07 billion visits.

ChatGPT remained the world’s most visited AI tool, recording approximately 5.32 billion visits in June 2026.

Although its traffic fell by 5.53% from the previous month, ChatGPT still accounted for about 40.9% of all global AI tool visits.

Gemini ranked second with 1.14 billion visits, down 2.76%, followed by Claude with 967.91 million, a decline of 2.07%.

Canva placed fourth with 759.76 million visits, down 11.13%, while Google Translate ranked fifth with 343.02 million, a fall of 6.19%.

Other leading tools included DeepSeek with 318.81 million visits, Grok with 189.89 million, JanitorAI with 173.17 million, Character AI with 165.46 million and Perplexity with 140.70 million.

ChatGPT received approximately 4.7 times as many visits as Gemini and 5.5 times as many as Claude, reflecting its considerable advantage in both user numbers and brand recognition within the generative AI market.

Most of the top 10 tools recorded lower traffic than in May. JanitorAI was the exception, growing by 5.31%.

Text-generation platforms remained the most popular category, attracting approximately 8.74 billion visits and representing 67.19% of the market.

Creative tools ranked second with a 13.25% share, followed by productivity tools at 4.96%, education at 3.32%, and sales and marketing at 2.73%.

Website-development tools accounted for 2.17% of traffic, audio tools for 2.16%, and video-generation and management platforms for 1.71%.

The figures show that AI use remains concentrated in conversation, writing, summarisation and text production. Text-generation platforms received about five times as much traffic as creative tools.

AITools.xyz estimated that Thailand recorded approximately 130.56 million AI tool visits in June 2026, a decline of 6.17 million, or about 4.5%, from the previous month.

The result placed Thailand 26th worldwide, accounting for an estimated 1.09% of global AI tool traffic.

Within ASEAN, Thailand ranked fourth behind Indonesia, which recorded 314.34 million visits, the Philippines with 243.82 million and Vietnam with 154.68 million.

Thailand remained ahead of Malaysia, which registered 124.28 million visits, and Singapore with 79.38 million.

The United States was the world’s largest source of AI tool traffic, with 2.56 billion visits, representing 21.40% of the total. India followed with 1.03 billion visits, or 8.63%, while Brazil ranked third with 720.26 million, equivalent to 6.01%.

The AITools.xyz figures indicate that AI market growth may not follow a straight upward line every month, as several major platforms experienced lower traffic in June.

Over the longer term, however, usage remained significantly above the previous year’s level.

The high proportion of visits made through computers, combined with the popularity of text-generation and productivity tools, suggests that AI is increasingly moving beyond experimentation and becoming an everyday working tool.

The figures are estimates of website traffic based on data from SEMrush and Ahrefs. They may not capture all activity conducted through mobile applications, corporate systems or application programming interfaces, or APIs.

Unique visits should also not be interpreted as the number of individual users, as one person may access several different platforms.
