The Gyeonggi-do Economic and Scientific Promotion Agency has launched an investment linkage program that connects promising start-ups and investment institutions in the province.

The Gyeonggi Economic and Scientific Promotion Agency held the "Invest Connect 1st" at the Gyeonggi Startup Bridge in Pangyo on the 30th and achieved 60 investment matches between promising startups and investment institutions in the province.

InvestConnect is an official investment program operated throughout the year ahead of the "2026 Gyeonggi Startup Summit (G-SUMIT 2026)" to be held at the Suwon Convention Center from October 14 to 15.

The Gyeonggi Startup Summit is the first international startup fair held in 2024 by Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggwon, and is a representative event to support AI and Deep Tech startups attract investment and advance into the global market.

More than 60 officials from 30 start-ups and investment institutions, including venture capital (VC), accelerator (AC), and corporate venture capital (CVC), attended the event. Fifteen major domestic investment institutions, including Hana Ventures, Mirae Asset Venture Investment, and POSCO Technology Investment, participated to discuss the possibility of investment and business cooperation.

130 start-ups within 7 years (within 10 years in the new industry) applied for pre-recruitment, recording a competition ratio of about 4.3 to 1, showing high interest.

The event was held with corporate briefing (IR) pitching and one-on-one business meeting. The participating companies announced their core technologies and business visions through the pre-IR capacity building program. Then, a total of four consultations were conducted with companies reviewed in advance by investment companies for 30 minutes, and 60 investment matches were made. Some companies continued their business cooperation discussions by being offered follow-up meetings and investment reviews at the site.

Gyeonggi-do Province and the Gyeonggwon will recruit companies participating in the "Invest Connect 2nd" and the "2026 Gyeonggi Startup Summit" next month.

"Gyeonggi Startup Summit is a representative international startup platform in Gyeonggi-do where AI and deep tech startups meet investors and global markets," said Kim Hyun-gon, head of the Economic Research and Extension Services. "Starting with Invest Connect, we will actively support the growth of promising startups by further strengthening investment linkage, open innovation, and global networks."
