TIPRA Motha founder Pradyot Kishore expresses intent to exit from active politics
Debbarma said he wants to focus on education, entrepreneurship and skilled jobs for Tiprasa youth outside electoral politics Agartala: TIPRA Motha founder Pradyot Kishore Debbarma reiterated his decision to step away from active politics while continuing to advocate for the indigenous community’s growth and development. In a Facebook Live, Debbarma said he was disillusioned with the current state of politics and accused leaders of putting self-interest and proximity to power above principles. He said many politicians shift loyalties with changing power equations and claimed some netas aligned with BJP could move to Congress if the national scenario changes. He contrasted this with CPM, citing ideology, discipline and political values.Debbarma also expressed disappointment with his own party, alleging personal ambitions, power-seeking and corruption in the ADC administration despite his efforts to act. He said he wants to focus on education, entrepreneurship and skilled jobs for Tiprasa youth outside electoral politics. He reaffirmed trust in BJP and Centre on implementing the Tiprasa Accord signed in March 2024, but warned he will mobilise public pressure if promises are not met.You Can Also Check: Gold Rate in Kolkata | Silver Rate in Kolkata | Bank Holidays in Kolkata | Public Holidays in Kolkata | Kolkata AQI | Weather in Kolkata | Petrol Price in Kolkata | Diesel Price in Kolkata | CNG Price in Kolkata | LPG Price in KolkataStay updated with the latest Kolkata news.
