Another World Cup watch party has been arranged for the Kinsmen Community Centre (KCC) in Port Alberni for Saturday, July 4. Canada will kick off against Morocco at 10 a.m. in a round of 16 game.

“This match against Morocco is historic, and we want everyone to come together to cheer and shout for Team Canada under one roof,” said Abu Hasan Jahangir, spokesperson and organizer with the 2026 Alberni Valley Indigenous-led Soccer Community Celebration.

“Because the community demand is massive, we have added another free live public screening this coming Saturday, July 4 at 10 a.m. at the KCC Fan Zone.”

The morning will open with a showcase by the Tseshaht Cultural Team at 9:20 a.m. followed by the official kickoff at 10 a.m.

The KCC is located on the Alberni District Fall Fair Grounds, 4090 Hollywood St. Admission to the event is free and family-friendly. A concession will be available and kid-oriented activities such as a Foosball table. There is also a smaller viewing area adjacent to the activity zone.

Watch the game on the giant TV screen and cheer on Team Canada.
