Yeoncheon County and Korea SMEs and Startups Agency Join Forces to Foster the Green Bio Industry in Northern Gyeonggi Province

Linking Yeoncheon BIX and Green Bio Promotion District Tailored Corporate Support for Policy Funds, Exports, and Human Resources

Yeoncheon County in Gyeonggi Province (Governor Kim Deokhyun) and the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency have joined hands to boost the Green Bio Industry in northern Gyeonggi Province and strengthen the competitiveness of local companies.

Yeoncheon County announced on the 11th that it had signed a "Memorandum of Understanding for the Activation of the Green Bio Industry in Northern Gyeonggi Province" with the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency at the county office situation room on the 10th.

The signing ceremony was attended by Kim Deokhyun, Governor of Yeoncheon County, Kim Ilho, Director of Corporate Finance at the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, Lee Junseok, Head of the Northern Gyeonggi Branch, and other representatives from both organizations.

The purpose of this agreement is to integrate the enterprise support capabilities of the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency into Yeoncheon BIX and the Green Bio Industry Promotion District, facilitating the growth of local companies and attracting new businesses.

Going forward, the two organizations will collaborate on policy funds, linkage of corporate support programs, export assistance and the provision of overseas market information, manpower support and cooperation with related organizations, as well as on-site regulatory improvement for companies.

Yeoncheon County expects that, as a result of this agreement, companies in Yeoncheon BIX and those in the Green Bio sector will be able to utilize support programs for policy funds, exports, and human resources in a more systematic manner.

Governor Kim Deokhyun stated, "We are fostering the Green Bio Industry as a new growth engine for Yeoncheon. Through close cooperation with the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, this agreement will lead to corporate growth, investment attraction, and revitalization of the local economy."

Lee Junseok, Head of the Northern Gyeonggi Branch of the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, commented, "We will actively cooperate to link Yeoncheon County's industrial foundation with our enterprise support capabilities so that local companies can receive practical assistance."

Going forward, Yeoncheon County plans to establish a working-level cooperation system with the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency and discover joint projects to attract businesses to Yeoncheon BIX and invigorate the Green Bio Industry Promotion District.
