EZOps launches EZTasks AI feature
EZOps has turned on the EZTasks artificial intelligence feature on its mobile oilfield management platform.
Artificial intelligence applications in the oil patch continue to expand as developers unveil new features.
EZOps, which operates a mobile oilfield management platform, has launched EZTasks.ai, a new artificial intelligence feature designed to help workers create tasks from their mobile devices using unstructured data sources such as images, documents or meeting notes.

“It’s a good first step for some companies” into AI, said Tracy Gray, vice president at EZOps. Those already using the company’s platform will find the feature turned on.
“In building functionality, the first step is for those in the field,” she told the Reporter-Telegram in a telephone interview. “They are out and about, in remote areas, in the field. They’re in their trucks and this allows them to talk into their phones.”
Voice-to-text: Speak observations, issues or instructions directly into EZOps. The AI interprets the spoken input and generates suggested tasks — no typing required.
Copy and paste: Paste text from emails, messages, reports or any source directly into EZOps. EZTasks.ai intelligently extracts and structures the relevant task information.
File and image uploads: Upload documents, photos, inspection reports, meeting notes or field images. The AI analyzes the content and translates it into actionable suggested tasks within the platform.
Crew members can now log critical information in real time, giving operations managers in the office the information they need to assign tasks to various crews.
“Even if you save 10 minutes with EZTasks, that’s 10 minutes you can use to produce oil,” said Gray.
The feature was created with input from EZOps’ customer advisory board, a group of industry leaders from Shell, Tourmaline, Devon, Highland Field Services, Strathcona, Mancal and Midland College.
EZTasks is the first of several AI-powered features the company plans to roll out this year as it integrates AI throughout its mobile oilfield management platform.
