Orange Shirt Day
Orange Shirt Day, also known as the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is September 30th. It is a day to honour survivors and intergenerational survivors of Indian Residential Schools. It's also a day to learn more about the history and legacy of that school system. To tell us more about the significance of this and how it's being marked is Phyllis Webstad, the founder of Orange Shirt Day.
