'Teens attack shop workers' and 'Tesla crashes into store'

Here is our weekly roundup of stories from across local websites in the West of England.

We have a daily round up as well. Make sure you look out for it on the website and the local section of the BBC News app.

What have been the big stories in the West this week?

Bristol Live reported on a violent row between a group of aggressive teenagers and shop workers at a convenience store in Bristol city centre.

Elsewhere, colourful projected scenes have lit up Burnham-on-Sea's best‑known landmarks as part of an art project, Burnham-on-Sea.com reported. The displays projected on walls and roofs were created by Charlie Phillips, who runs Burnham-based Somerset Projections.

Gloucestershire Live has published a town-by-town guide of the best places to view the solar eclipse phenomenon.

And Joshua Bonehill-Paine, a former antisemite selected by the Conservatives to contest a Somerset Council election next year, has withdrawn his candidacy, Somerset Live reported.

Finally, Swindon Advertiser reported on damage caused to a shop in Swindon town centre after a Tesla crashed into it.

Hot weather is changing camping habits across the West, with some holidaymakers ditching tents in favour of glamping while others are continuing to book UK breaks.

Campsite owners in Somerset say recent heatwaves have prompted some visitors to rethink traditional camping holidays, particularly families with children, older relatives and dogs.

At the same time, other sites in the region report rising visitor numbers as holidaymakers take advantage of dry weather and look for affordable alternatives to trips abroad.
