Home Minister Sudhan Gurung to visit India next week
KATHMANDU: Home Minister Sudhan Gurung is scheduled to visit India next week. He will travel to India to participate in the first meeting of home ministers from the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) member states.
The meeting is set to take place on October 13. A senior official at the Nepali Embassy in New Delhi confirmed the upcoming visit of Minister Gurung.
The meeting will see the participation of home ministers from seven member nations, including Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Thailand. It has been reported that a meeting of home secretaries from the BIMSTEC member states will be held prior to the ministerial-level meeting.
