Telangana’s Youths Explore Assam’s Cultural Heritage under Centre’s Programme
At a time when the Cockroach Janata Party, led by youth leaders, was rocking the country, the Ministry of Higher Education has undertaken a programme to connect youth of one state with the traditions and culture of another state.
The ministry has organised the Yuva Sangam Phase VII programme under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative to strengthen cultural and emotional bonds among the youth of India.
The programme enables young participants to explore the cultural heritage, traditions, educational landscape and developmental achievements of different States and Union Territories, fostering mutual understanding and national integration through 20 paired States and higher education institutions.
The Telangana delegation, led by the Central University of Karnataka, received a warm welcome from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati upon its arrival in Guwahati on 4 October 2026.
